DAY 1

Welcome to Argentina

Meet in Buenos Aires, Argentina’s eclectic capital city with rich history, amazing food, and colorful neighborhoods. Your 9-day adventure starts with urban exploration and a welcome dinner with your fellow travelers — and a glass of Argentinian malbec, salud!

DAY 2

Perito Moreno Glacier

After breakfast, you’ll head to the airport for a flight down to El Calafate. Private transport will take us to Perito Moreno Glacier to witness its grandeur from both boardwalk + boat. Afterwards, there’ll be some free time in town before dinner.

DAY 3

Via Ferrata Adventure

Via ferratas, or iron paths, originated in the Italian Dolomites during WWI to help transport equipment & supplies through difficult mountain terrain. This adrenaline-filled via ferrata adventure has amazing views! No climbing experience necessary.

DAY 4

Raft the Rio Vueltas

Action — that’s the theme of today’s adventure! Start with a short safety briefing before taking on the glacial class III+ rapids of the Rio de las Vueltas. After a little free time to relax, you’ll prep for the 3-day backpacking trek in Los Glaciares National Park.

DAY 5

Hike to Laguna Pollone

Our epic 4-day backpacking trek in Los Glaciares National Park starts at Rio Electrico bridge. It’s a short hike to our campsite where we’ll setup our tents & eat lunch. Then, we’ll take a side trip to Laguna Pollone before returning for a hearty dinner.

It’ll be a leisurely morning! After breakfast, we’ll pack up our gear and head towards the iconic Mt. Fitz Roy. If the weather cooperates, there will be breathtaking views of Mt. Fitz Roy for most of the day, so fingers crossed!

DAY 7

Sunrise Hike to Laguna de los Tres

DAY 6

Hike to Campamento Poincenot

Grab your headlamp for a super early start to reach Laguna de los Tres to see the sun illuminate the towering peaks of Mt. Fitz Roy. After soaking in the views, we’ll head back to camp for breakfast, gather our gear, and continue on the trail to Laguna Torre.

The final day of the trek will be the most challenging! We’ll cross a river via tyrolean traverse (similar to a 'flat’ zipline) on the way to Paso Agachonas. After passing Loma del Pliegue, we’ll end in El Chaltén with a celebratory dinner!

Paso Agachonas & Loma del Pliegue

Pack your bags, it’s time to return to the real world. After breakfast, we’ll take private transportation to the El Calafate airport (FTE), where you’ll catch your flight back to Buenos Aires. Don’t forget to exchange contact info with your new adventure friends to stay in touch, share pics, and plan next year’s reunion Zealous trip.

Not Quite Fine Print

  • Outdoor adventure travel can be quite unpredictable. Our top priority is to provide a rewarding yet safe experience. We’ll do our best to adhere to the intended itinerary, but certain circumstances (i.e. unsafe weather conditions) may result in slight changes. However, spontaneity is often a good thing.

  • Guests are required to have a travel insurance policy that covers all potential activities for the specific trip. We suggest purchasing travel insurance shortly after booking with Zealous Travel Co. We highly recommend the Tin Leg Adventure policy through Squaremouth.

  • Guests must have a valid passport with an expiration date at least 6 months after your return flight.

  • Do not book flights until receiving the go-ahead email from Zealous Travel Co. We are happy to provide flight recommendations.

Payment Policy

  • Deposit is due at the time of booking.

  • 100% of deposit is refundable for any reason within 7 days of booking.

  • After 7 days, deposit is transferable to any future trip within 18 months.

  • 90-119 days before trip start date:

    • 80% of payment(s) made to date are refundable
